Alok Das
(Founder & CEO)

Alok Das is an accomplished professional with a vast experience of more than 15 years. He is the founder of The Das Tea Company. Born and based in India, he holds an MBA in Production and Operation Management He has worked in top MNCs, IT and Healthcare Service Providers across the globe, has extensive brand and communications experience across brands. He is well known for his expertise in strategic brand thinking and management, media planning, industry research, market research and general management. After stepping in Tea business, he noticed the huge gaps in the $100 billion tea market. It is a tough industry to crack because of global regulations and export restrictions, which is why Das Tea Company focuses on direct-to-consumer home grown teas across the globe. As a result of his diverse R&D experience, Alok was able to develop unique formulation of the teas using latest technology along with using the best raw materials available at local suppliers under direct supervision of a Master Blender who has worked with world renowned brands in the same field with whom he developed a formula that helped improve quality of tea leaf after its harvest by adding certain spices which adds more flavour to the finished product without affecting fresh taste. He is a tea enthusiast, who has been passionately focused on making fresh and organic teas available directly from source to consumers across the world. He believes that everyone should be able to enjoy high quality products with which they can be proud of and nurture a healthy lifestyle.

Soni Das
(Co-Founder and Business Head)

Mrs. Soni Das has strong business acumen and analytic ability with capability of identifying business trends and opportunities. She holds an MBA in IT and Operations. A dynamic and results-driven leader and positive and passionate individual who likes to help others reach their full potential with the ability to develop people and build great teams. She is able to establish strong working relationships and influence with colleagues, partners at all levels. Collaborative, team player and strong ability to lead and motivate teams. Ability to develop people and build great teams. Solid product development experience including sales and marketing campaign management in addition to product positioning. Leading development of financial plans, forecasts and manage budgets for the Business Unit; Attract, retain and develop high potential employees properly using global, regional or local development opportunities; Analyze & support financial impacts of management decision providing constructive feedback as well as monitoring & challenging performance against plans; Provide support risk management & mitigation activities

Dorjae Tamang
(Tea Master & Taster)

Mr. Tamang joined the tea industry in 1973. Working in tea plantations across three states of India, Mr. Tamang’s experience has helped him to identify a tea freshly plucked from a bush or tree, whether it is Assam’s indigenous variety of tropical black teas, China’s green teas, Japan’s rare and flavourful oolongs or India’s unusual and exotic teas. In the world of tea, Mr. Tamang has been recognized as one of the most experienced and knowledgeable experts on the subject. His expertise allowed him to develop trends in the tea market by making suggestions on what may be yet another new trend that would take off internationally and thus affect most of our present crop of international premium black, green and oolong teas. In the tea industry, where drinks are often boiled down to a simple formula of leaves steeped in water, you’ll often find it harder to get the story behind your tea than the liquid itself. Mr. Tamang is working to change this by creating a network of experience barterers, who tell the stories behind their teas with everything from cooking classes to tea parties that all feel very authentic. He says these experiences not only drive demand for his products, but also make for better consumers who understand what they’re doing when they buy quality tea from him.

Ashutosh Kumar
(Head of IT Controls & QA)

Mr. Kumar is an energetic and focused individual. True professional, who has a great passion for his work and make sure to bring your work to the next level. Saurabh Prakash
(Sales & Marketing Head)

Mr. Prakash has vast knowledge and expertise in Marketing & campaign direction encompassing branding, positioning and value in the market. Mr. Prakash is an expert in marketing and advertising. He has spent several years developing, implementing, and managing marketing and advertising strategies for a variety of consumer brands and companies. Mr. Prakash holds MBA degree from Swami Vivekananda Subharti University in HR and Marketing. He has been successful in growing customer base over 80%, increased revenue 92% and successfully resolved credit program’s loss through marketing campaigns. He has a passion for working with people, and knows how to generate the best results from them. His experience includes developing, executing and initiating marketing campaigns for Banking and top consumer brands. Competent in creating high performing campaigns that drove traffic and conversions, set advertising goals for the company, directed research efforts on numerous occasions, and led the highest performing campaigns with open rates over 35%. Managed a team of account managers, analysts, and writers to create high performing campaigns across various markets in the banking industry. Sujata Das
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Sujata is a highly meticulous and reliable professional who excels at multitasking, networking well with internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating effectively across cultures. She holds an MBA in Finance. Her attention to detail allows her to deliver accurate reports that are delivered on time. Accomplished Head of Finance with a proven track record of delivering strong financial results. She has over 8 years of experience in a variety of financial roles at both Fortune 500 and mid-cap companies. She is able to handle a number of cash and inventory management projects with professionalism and accuracy, including strong research skills in optimizing current and efficient cash management team operation. Sujata has excellent organizational and time management abilities, as well as plan accounting and finance goals in alignment with company mission and objectives. Strong experience and proven track record in performing a variety of tasks related to Financial Accounting, including but not limited to: Preparing forecasts, budgeting and financial reports. Accounts payable processing including collections, payments and payments to satellite offices and field locations. S.K. Bhardwaj
(Chief of Legal Affairs)


Mr. Bharadwaj is a leading industry professional with more than 20 years of legal expertise on Draft, review and negotiate various agreements. Manage outside counsel and provide legal advice and support in connection with stock plans, executive compensation, subsidiary management and other corporate matters. Develop policies and procedures regarding governance, operational practices and best practices for internal control; Provide robust guidance to senior management on issues affecting their ability to manage their businesses effectively. During the last 20 years Mr. Bharadwaj has specialized in a wide range of practice areas, including developing and negotiating corporate policies and procedures, designing and implementing compliance programs, advising on equity-based compensation and employee stock option plan participation, as well as serving as a subject matter expert on compliance.
